Emerald Holding, Inc. (NYSE: EEX) has announced the acquisition of Toronto-based Generis Group, a leading organizer of B2B executive summits. The acquisition aims to enhance Emerald's portfolio by integrating Generis' unique one-to-one meeting formats, known for high customer satisfaction and measurable business impact. This strategic move will increase Emerald's annual executive summits to over 50, with a focus on expanding its presence in the U.S. and Europe.
The acquisition aligns with Emerald's strategy to deliver proven executive-level experiences across key growth markets. Generis Group, founded in 2014 by Francesco Scalzo, Jason Cheddie, and Nadim Allidina, has established itself as a leader in high-impact, peer-to-peer executive summits. The company hosts eleven annual events across the U.S. and six in Europe, connecting senior leaders in sectors such as supply chain, manufacturing, packaging, digital transformation, and life sciences. Generis' curated events feature expert-led panels, targeted content, and a proprietary one-to-one matchmaking platform, driving alignment and measurable outcomes.
The acquisition is expected to empower Generis to scale its impact more rapidly and reach new heights.
