Elon Musk vs. George Soros A Power Struggle Over American Justice
Elon Musk's recent entry into the American political landscape has been marked by his outspoken support for former President Donald Trump. In a recent X Spaces event, Musk announced that the "America PAC," which he initiated to back Trump's candidacy, will persist beyond the election to play a significant role in U.S. politics. The focus will be on the 2026 midterm elections, as well as local district attorney races.
During the event, Musk criticized the influential liberal philanthropist and financier George Soros, accusing him of meddling in U.S. politics through control over law enforcement. According to Musk, Soros leverages political donations to influence the way laws are enforced, thereby pushing forward his agenda without directly altering legislation.
Musk emphasized that true power lies not in changing laws but in directing their enforcement, which he believes is Soros's strategy. Soros, known for his role in "breaking the Bank of England" and his Open Society Foundations, funds numerous initiatives worldwide promoting liberal values. His financial support has also extended to campaigns for district attorneys who favor reducing incarceration rates and addressing racial biases in the justice system.
This longstanding feud between Musk and Soros extends back to their conflicting interests over the years, culminating in heightened tensions during Musk's high-profile acquisition of Twitter in 2022. Soros and several organizations, including those he supports, voiced strong opposition to Musk's takeover, urging businesses to cut ties with Twitter, fearing it would amplify misinformation under Musk's leadership.
Musk, undeterred, responded vigorously by promising to investigate those funding these critical organizations, suggesting they were aiming to control information dissemination. In his rebuke, Musk highlighted Soros's significant political influence, asserting that his actions threatened to "destroy America" by undermining the U.S. justice system.
