Elon Musk Claims "Magic Money Computers" Issue Payments Without Economic Activity

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, recently made waves during an interview with Senator Ted Cruz, where he introduced the concept of "magic money computers." These systems, according to Musk, have the ability to create money seemingly out of thin air, issuing payments without a corresponding increase in goods or services. Musk claimed that these computers exist in several federal departments, including the Treasury, Defense, and Health and Human Services departments, and can essentially issue payments and send money from nothing.

Musk's comments were made during a podcast interview with Senator Ted Cruz. When asked to elaborate on his definition, Musk clarified that these computers are capable of generating money without any real economic activity. This concept, while not new, has gained attention due to Musk's high-profile status and his influence in the tech and financial sectors. Musk explained that while the government computers are supposed to be synchronized and coherent, they are often off by 5% or 10% in some cases, leading to discrepancies in the numbers presented to senators and the public.
