The UK government and Eli Lilly have partnered to improve access to weight management services across the NHS. The program, backed by up to $114.61 million, will expand care through community, pharmacy, and digital channels. At least 10 million pounds will be allocated to Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The initiative aims to remove barriers to treatment and reduce strain on the NHS, with obesity-related conditions costing around 11 billion pounds annually.
