The Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix (FSGP) 2025 has seen a strong turnout of first-time and returning schools, with most teams debuting new solar cars. Northwestern University, celebrating its 25th year, received help from Stanford and four other teams with a tire replacement. West Virginia is competing with its single-occupant vehicle, Sunseeker, after redesigning its control arm. New builds are also from the University of Florida, the University of Puerto Rico, NC State, and UC Irvine, with the latter team making its first appearance.
