This brings the total Bitcoin holdings to over $520 million. In the past 7 days, El Salvador has acquired 13 additional Bitcoins, and in the past 30 days, it has acquired 45 additional Bitcoins.

This latest purchase is part of El Salvador's ongoing strategy to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender and promote its use within the country. The government has been actively buying and holding Bitcoin since 2021, when it became the first country to recognize the cryptocurrency as an official currency. The country's President, Nayib Bukele, has been a vocal supporter of Bitcoin and has encouraged its adoption among the population.
