Eagle Point Credit Management LLC has announced the appointment of Ken Yamashita as Managing Director and Head of Client and Partner Solutions for Japan. Yamashita will be responsible for maintaining existing investor relationships and overseeing institutional business development in the country [1].

Prior to joining Eagle Point, Yamashita served as an Executive Director in the Financial Institutional Sales group at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he covered major Japanese financial institutions, including insurance companies, banks, trust banks, and asset management companies. He had a particular focus on providing solutions in alternative investments. Before that, Yamashita held the position of Head of Alternatives Sales at BlackRock Japan and previously worked as Director of Investor Relations at SVP Global and Managing Director at Tanaka Value Investments KK [1].

Yamashita brings over 35 years of industry experience and a decade of institutional and alternatives sales experience in Japan. His appointment reinforces Eagle Point's long-term commitment to the Japanese market, where the firm has established strong relationships with institutional investors. Yamashita's deep regional expertise will further enhance Eagle Point's ability to serve existing clients and expand its presence in this strategically important market [1].

The appointment of Yamashita comes as Eagle Point continues to grow its investment portfolio and expand its global footprint. In the first half of 2025, the firm deployed $285 million of capital into CLO equity, CLO debt, and other related investments in both the primary and secondary markets [2]. The firm also completed 13 resets and 8 refinancings of CLOs in its portfolio, resulting in significant debt savings of 44 basis points on average [2].

Eagle Point's primary investment objective is to generate high current income, with a secondary objective to generate capital gains. The firm invests primarily in the equity and junior debt tranches of collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and may also invest in other securities or instruments that are related investments or consistent with its investment objectives [2].

Eagle Point manages over $13 billion on behalf of institutional and retail investors and has over 100 professionals. The firm's closed-end management investment company, Eagle Point Credit Company Inc., is registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended [2].
