Duke Energy Foundation is awarding $500,000 in grants to up to 20 North Carolina community colleges to support high-demand craft and technical programs critical to the energy industry. The funding will support programs in lineworker training, electrical and mechanical engineering, welding, plumbing, and other skilled trades. The grants are part of a larger effort to address the state's growing energy demand and prepare the next generation of skilled workers.
