A UAE-based brokerage firm, Gulf First Commercial Brokers, has vanished overnight, taking millions of dirhams from investor funds. Police have filed a complaint against the firm and its alleged affiliate, Sigma-One Capital, which operates without authorization from Dubai's financial authorities. The scam follows a familiar pattern seen in earlier UAE fraud cases, where victims were lured by promises of secure trading environments through cold calls.
