DTE Energy will provide 1.4 gigawatts of electric service to Oracle's multibillion-dollar data center campus in southeast Michigan. The supply deal runs through February 2024 with options for extension, and electric service will ramp up to full delivery in December 2027. As part of the deal, DTE will build and operate energy storage capacity for at least 15 years. The project is expected to be a major role for utility companies in the artificial intelligence boom.
