DP World Evyap has upgraded its network with Cisco Ultra-Reliable Wireless Backhaul (URWB) to ensure reliable connectivity and eliminate dead zones. The upgrade enables efficient operations and growth, allowing the port to manage 10% of Türkiye's container throughput. The network upgrade has restored faith in digital workflows and enabled the smooth running of the Terminal Operating System (TOS).

DP World Evyap has recently upgraded its network infrastructure with Cisco Ultra-Reliable Wireless Backhaul (URWB) to enhance connectivity and eliminate dead zones. This strategic move aims to bolster the port's operational efficiency and support its growth, particularly in managing 10% of Türkiye's container throughput [1].

The network upgrade has been instrumental in restoring confidence in digital workflows and ensuring the smooth operation of the Terminal Operating System (TOS). By leveraging URWB technology, DP World Evyap has achieved reliable connectivity, crucial for the port's seamless operations.

Cisco's URWB technology, built on Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology, provides rapid path reconfiguration with minimal latency. This capability is particularly beneficial for high-mobility scenarios, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance [2].

The upgrade involves a Layer 3 Fluidity setup, which enables vehicles to transition seamlessly between trackside base stations or radios that belong to different subnets. This is achieved using Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) tunnels, which connect the Mesh End at each network cluster or site to a centralized Fluidmesh Gateway device located at the network core, known as the Global Gateway [2].

DP World Evyap's investment in Cisco's URWB technology underscores its commitment to modernizing its infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency. The upgrade is expected to drive growth and improve the port's competitiveness in the global market.
