DoorDash has introduced new features for its DoorDash for Business platform to simplify administrative tasks for HR, finance, and operations teams. The updates include real-time data insights, dedicated support, improved expense management, and enhanced security through integrated single sign-on (SSO) and cross-domain identity management (SCIM). The platform aims to provide efficient and flexible meal solutions for businesses, boosting employee engagement and productivity.
DoorDash has announced a series of updates to its DoorDash for Business platform, aimed at simplifying administrative tasks for HR, finance, and operations teams. The enhancements, which come at a time when many companies are returning to office models, include real-time data insights, dedicated support, improved expense management, and enhanced security features.
The new features are designed to address the evolving needs of modern workplaces. Real-time data insights provide administrators with an overview of spending, usage, and engagement data across teams and locations, eliminating the need for manual tracking. This capability offers actionable insights to help manage budgets and ensure compliance. Additionally, dedicated business support, including "white-glove onboarding," proactive order monitoring, and dedicated account management, streamlines office meal coordination and enhances the overall experience for employees.
The platform also introduces on-site support services to consolidate deliveries and ensure a better experience during peak times. Business profiles allow employees to view both business and personal orders within the DoorDash app, simplifying the process of accurately reporting orders and receiving reimbursement. Expense codes can now be automatically synced, with administrators able to tag orders for billing and employees able to search for appropriate codes at checkout.
Security has been improved with the integration of single sign-on (SSO) and cross-domain identity management (SCIM), ensuring enhanced security and streamlined user management. These updates build upon existing offerings such as meal credits, group ordering options, and DashPass memberships for both administrators and employees.
Katie Egan, General Manager of DoorDash for Business, stated, “We understand the evolving needs of today’s workplaces and the complexities enterprises face in managing employee food programmes. Our new offerings are a direct response to businesses seeking efficient, flexible, and employee-centric meal solutions. We’re giving businesses the tools, like our Insights Dashboard and on-site support, to save valuable time and empower them to invest in their teams, boosting engagement and productivity.”
These updates come just a week after DoorDash expanded its DoorDash for Commerce platform to include loyalty programs for restaurants. This platform expansion helps improve customer engagement across various channels, including applications, websites, and in-store interactions.
The latest upgrades to the DoorDash for Business platform position it as a robust solution for businesses looking to provide efficient and flexible meal programs to their employees. The platform's ability to simplify administrative tasks, enhance security, and improve the overall employee experience makes it a compelling option for businesses seeking to boost engagement and productivity.
