Honorees include Penelope Cruz, Walter Salles, and Bruce Springsteen, who will receive the museum's inaugural Legacy Award. The event aims to raise funds for museum exhibitions, education initiatives, and public programming. The gala is supported by Rolex and co-chaired by prominent figures in the entertainment industry.

Dolphin Entertainment (NASDAQ: DLPN) has announced that its subsidiary Special Projects has secured a prestigious talent lineup for the fifth annual Academy Museum Gala, scheduled for October 18, 2025. The event, which aims to raise funds for museum exhibitions, education initiatives, and public programming, will be co-chaired by notable industry figures and supported by Rolex.

The gala will honor several distinguished artists, including Penélope Cruz, Walter Salles, and Bruce Springsteen. Cruz, known for her roles in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," will receive the Icon Award for her significant global impact. Salles, the Brazilian filmmaker behind the Oscar-winning international feature "I'm Still Here," will be honored with the Luminary Award for his innovative contributions to filmmaking. Springsteen, a music legend and Grammy and Oscar winner, will receive the museum's inaugural Legacy Award, celebrating his influence on generations of storytellers and his cultural impact. Springsteen is also set to perform live during the event [1].

The event will be supported by Rolex, the exclusive presenting partner and founding supporter of the Academy Museum. The gala is being co-chaired by Jon M. Chu, Common, Viola Davis, Julius Tennon, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Jennifer Hudson, and Academy Museum Trustee Alejandro Ramírez Magaña. The 2025 Gala Host Committee includes a who's who of the entertainment industry, with names such as Amy Adams, Judd Apatow, Gael García Bernal, Laura Dern, Colman Domingo, Willem Dafoe, Goldie Hawn, Oscar Isaac, Zoë Kravitz, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lupita Nyong’o, Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, Chloë Sevigny, Tessa Thompson, and Rachel Zegler [2].

The funds raised at the gala will support the museum's mission-driven initiatives, including public programming, educational activities for K-12 students, and access initiatives that benefit the Los Angeles community and beyond. Last year's gala raised over $11 million for the museum.
