Disney announces four new cruise ships, bringing fleet to 13.-Bloomberg

In a recent announcement, Disney Cruise Line and Meyer Werft, in collaboration with Oriental Land Company (OLC), revealed plans to expand their fleet with four new cruise ships [1]. With the addition of these vessels, Disney's cruise offerings will grow to a total of 13 ships.

The first three ships, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny, have already been commissioned, and Disney Cruise Line has taken delivery of the first one, the Disney Wish, in 2022 [1]. The remaining two sister ships are under construction and are expected to be delivered in 2024 and 2025.

The latest addition to this expanding fleet is a fourth Disney Wish-class ship, which will operate in Japan under OLC's management [1]. This new ship, scheduled for delivery in 2028, is expected to commence operations by early 2029.

The announcement of these new ships is a significant development for Disney Cruise Line, as it expands its reach to new markets and continues to deliver exceptional cruise experiences to its guests [2]. The company's long-term relationships with both Meyer Werft and OLC are expected to contribute to the success of these new ventures.
