Aramark, a direct-provision-centre operator, donated €30,000 to the Children's Health Ireland (CHI) staff Christmas party in 2022. The donation was made to the contractor of CHI, which later directed the funds to be returned to Aramark. CHI's CEO Lucy Nugent stated that the donation was "wrong" and that the organization does not have a large Christmas party anymore. The Comptroller and Auditor General's office identified the account and raised concerns about the propriety of accepting contributions from a concession holder.
