On September 5, several real estate agents in Beijing posted videos on social media platforms, claiming that Musk bought a four-story courtyard house in Beijing for $150 million (about RMB1.065 billion), located at No. 8 Xiu Yun Road in Beijing. According to public information, Beijing Hoshine Xiu Yun Road 8 is a famous top-end property project developed by Beijing New Imperial Capital, located on the bustling Xiu Yun Road in Beijing's Chaoyang District. It ranked second in the 2022 Top 10 Super Luxury Houses in China compiled by World Entrepreneur Group, just behind the Oriental Pearl. However, Tesla responded to Silver Finance that the "house purchase" was a false rumor. It is understood that although Musk has repeatedly become the world's richest person, he has already sold all of his physical assets and once said in an interview that he has no fixed residence and most of the time he borrows from his friends. When he sold his last mansion in Silicon Valley in 2021, he said it was his "last property on earth".
