Diageo PLC has appointed John Rishton as a Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit and Nomination Committees, effective November 1, 2025. Rishton is currently the Board Chair at Informa PLC and will retire from the Board of Serco Group plc on December 31, 2025.

With over 40 years of business experience, Rishton has held executive roles in various industries, including consumer and retail businesses. He has served as Chief Executive of Rolls Royce Group plc and Chief Financial Officer and then Chief Executive of Royal Ahold NV. His extensive background in non-executive roles includes stints at Unilever, Associated British Ports, Allied Domecq, Majid Al Futtaim, and ICA Gruppen.
