Deutsche Bank Appoints Tang as CIO for Emerging Markets
Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Dr. Jacky Tang Chi Kit as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Emerging Markets, effective October 6, 2025, pending regulatory approval. This appointment is part of the bank's strategic initiative to enhance its presence and capabilities in the emerging markets. Tang will also oversee the Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) business in the region, driving its continued growth.
Tang brings over 25 years of experience in the financial markets. He joined Goldman SachsGS-- in 2012 and most recently served as the Head of Investment Strategy and Portfolio Management for the Asia region within Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management. Prior to this, he held positions at Credit Suisse, Morgan StanleyMS--, BNP Paribas, Merrill Lynch, and Brevan Howard Asset Management. His extensive background in investment management and strategic leadership will be instrumental in advancing Deutsche Bank's goals in the emerging markets.
Based in Hong Kong, Tang will report directly to Christian Nolting, Global Chief Investment Officer, and Maria Haindl, Global Head of Private Banking BLIS Custody Solutions. He will also join the leadership committee for the Chief Investment Officer and Emerging Markets coverage areas. This move highlights Deutsche Bank's commitment to leveraging Tang's expertise to strengthen its investment management capabilities and drive growth in the emerging markets.
