AT&T is deploying new 5G spectrum from Echostar across the US to upgrade its network, increasing download speeds by up to 80% for mobility customers and up to 55% for Fixed Wireless Access customers. The new spectrum is live in over 5,300 cities and 48 states, and is also being used to enhance FirstNet, the dedicated network for public safety. This upgrade is significant for enterprise WANs, as it could support more demanding field service applications and improve the experience for remote teams relying on mobile data.
