Dell, NVIDIA Unveil AI Solution, Boosting Training Speed 400%

Dell Technologies and NVIDIA have announced a groundbreaking collaboration, unveiling a new enterprise AI solution and introducing the latest generation of PowerEdge servers. This partnership aims to simplify the implementation of AI across enterprises by enhancing infrastructure, solutions, and services. The new offerings include advanced computing, data storage, data management, and network solutions, all designed to meet the growing demand for AI-driven technologies.
The new AI infrastructure from Dell includes both air-cooled and liquid-cooled PowerEdge servers, capable of supporting up to 192 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs. This configuration enables a fourfold increase in the training speed of large language models (LLMs). Additionally, Dell plans to support NVIDIA's Vera CPU and Vera Rubin platform, further enhancing AI performance and efficiency. The new product line includes the air-cooled Dell PowerEdge XE9780 and XE9785 servers, which simplify integration with existing enterprise data centers, and the liquid-cooled Dell PowerEdge XE9780L and XE9785L servers, which accelerate rack-level deployments. These servers utilize direct chip liquid cooling technology, allowing for customization of up to 256 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs per Dell IR7000 rack.
Dell's data indicates that 75% of organizations view AI as a core strategic priority, with 65% successfully advancing AI projects to the production stage. However, challenges such as data quality, security concerns, and high costs continue to hinder the rapid adoption of AI. Dell's AI Factory solution offers a 62% higher cost-benefit ratio for on-premises deployment of LLM inference compared to public cloud solutions, making it an attractive option for budget-sensitive enterprise investors.
Looking ahead, Dell is expanding its AI product line to meet deployment needs from the edge to the data center. The Dell PowerEdge XE7745 server, scheduled to support the NVIDIA RTX Pro™ 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPU by July 2025, will provide a unified platform for applications such as robotics, digital twins, and multimodal AI. Dell also plans to support the NVIDIA Vera CPU for enhanced speed, efficiency, and performance, and the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform, designed for Dell's integrated scalable systems. Over 3,000 global customers are already leveraging Dell's AI Factory to accelerate their AI initiatives, benefiting from a comprehensive ecosystem that spans from enterprise AI PCs to data centers.
