CZ Backs Merging Broccoli Meme Coins Amid Sharp Price Drops

This proposal has gained significant attention in the cryptocurrency community, particularly after CZ shared a story about his dog Broccoli, which sparked a wave of meme coins named BROCCOLI. However, these projects have faced fragmentation and sharp price drops since their launch.
One user on the X platform (formerly Twitter) highlighted the challenges posed by the fragmentation of Broccoli meme coin projects. The user suggested that the odds of any single Broccoli meme coin hitting 10x on its own are slim, but combining them could present a more promising opportunity. The user pointed out that the fragmentation has prevented many investors from participating due to the uncertainty surrounding which project will receive liquidity.
The popularity of the Broccoli meme coin has brought CZ under scrutiny, with some projects reaching a market cap of tens of millions of USD within hours but quickly collapsing due to sell-offs or scams. In January, Binance introduced three Broccoli projects into Binance Alpha, which have the potential to be listed on the exchange. These projects include Broccoli (BROCCOLI), CZ’S DOG (Broccoli), and Broccoli (Broccoli).
Popular BNB trader Ben Todar suggested that merging all Broccoli meme coins under one new contract could be the safest and most promising bet for everyone involved. He noted that each community is too distinct, making it difficult to pick one as the standout. When CZ first shared about his dog Broccoli, many investors asked him for the official contract address. CZ clarified that he didn’t launch a meme coin and said, “let the best meme coin in the community win.”
CZ has also expressed interest in the merger idea, suggesting that combining the fragmented projects could be the best approach in the current chaotic meme coin space. The former Binance CEO’s support for this idea comes as many BROCCOLI coins have lost most of their value. The three CZ’s Dog projects on Binance Alpha have faced a similar fate, with data showing that more than 40% of Binance Alpha tokens decreased in price after the announcement.
