Cyberport: Budget supports Hong Kong's accelerated development of innovation and technology, seizing the key window of AI and technological transformation.

Cyberport welcomes the proactive strategies and specific measures in the Budget to continuously support Hong Kong's innovation and technology development, seize the key window of artificial intelligence and technological transformation, and accelerate the development of the economy with technological innovation as the core, strengthen the local innovation and technology ecosystem in Hong Kong, and actively promote Hong Kong to develop into an international innovation and technology center.

Mr. Chan Sze Ming, Chairman of Cyberport, said that the budget has laid out Hong Kong's future with technological innovation as the core, strengthened the new momentum of the economy, and the Hong Kong SAR government's support for the innovation and technology industry has not weakened despite the pressure on public finances. It has solidified the development of the innovation and technology ecosystem from upstream to downstream, and many plans have been gradually implemented and widely benefited the industry.

The AI supercomputing center of Cyberport has been put into service at the end of last year and has approved five R&D projects through the AI funding plan. Cyberport, as Hong Kong's flagship of digital technology and an accelerator of artificial intelligence, will actively cooperate with the development strategy of the Hong Kong SAR government and use the AI supercomputing center as the engine to drive the AI ecosystem, enhance Hong Kong's R&D capabilities in different research and application fields, and attract start-ups and research talents from home and abroad to help Hong Kong play its advantages in basic research and internationalization to achieve the vision of an international AI and innovation and technology center.
