Current Account Switching in the UK Drops by 11.4% in 2025

The UK Current Account Switch Service reported 350,114 switches in Q4 2025, the busiest quarter of the year. However, switching for calendar year 2025 is down by 11.4% year-on-year compared to 2024. Nationwide had the highest net switching gains for the quarter, while Santander reported the highest net losses. The switch service has now recorded 12.4 million switches since its launch in September 2013.
