Cryptocurrency exchange founder buys "AI.com" for $70 million
February 8 — The founder of cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com has purchased the internet domain "AI.com" for $70 million. Reportedly, this is the highest price disclosed so far for a domain transaction. Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, plans to officially launch AI.com in a Super Bowl ad this weekend. The site will offer personal "AI agent" services that users can use to send messages, access apps, and trade stocks. Marszalek said, "Last year I had the opportunity to acquire this domain. I thought that in the long run, say 10 to 20 years, AI will become one of the greatest technological waves of our generation. So it seemed like a good investment."
