Crypto Surge: CoinDesk 20 Index Jumps 14.5%

The CoinDesk 20 Index, a broad-based measure of the cryptocurrency market, surged 14.5% over the weekend, with nearly all assets in the index posting gains. The index is currently trading at 3109.04, up 393.25 points from Friday's close.

Nineteen out of the twenty assets in the CoinDesk 20 Index are trading higher. The standout performers were Cardano (ADA), which surged 58.8%, and XRP, which gained 25.5%.

On the other hand, Litecoin (LTC) was the biggest laggard, falling 8.5%. Aptos (APT) was the only other asset to post a gain, albeit a modest one of 0.6%.

The CoinDesk 20 Index is a widely-traded benchmark that covers multiple platforms and regions globally, providing a comprehensive view of the cryptocurrency market.
