Crypto Robbers Target Streamer's Fortune in Home Invasion

Popular streamer Amouranth, whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa, recently made headlines after claiming she was the victim of a home invasion by robbers who targeted her crypto fortune. The incident occurred late at night on March 2, with Amouranth posting a series of updates on X detailing the event.

In her posts, Amouranth stated that the robbers entered her home and demanded her crypto assets, yelling that they wanted crypto. She later posted an update on March 3, providing more details about the incident. In the update, she mentioned that there were three gunmen involved and shared a video presumably from a security camera. The video showed Amouranth leading the three men to another section of the property, followed by three loud noises, and the men running off camera.

Amouranth is known for being open about her finances, having appeared on a YouTube personal finance show and sharing her earnings from various platforms. She rose to prominence on Twitch, where she was the most-watched female streamer in 2021 and 2022. Recently, she has made headway into the creator platform OnlyFans.

This incident is part of a string of high-profile "crypto wrench" attacks that have made headlines in 2025. In January, a Canadian volunteer moderator of a crypto forum went into hiding after kidnappers allegedly attempted to abduct him and force him to transfer his Bitcoin. On Jan. 21, David Balland, the co-founder of Ledger, was reportedly abducted from his home, with the kidnappers allegedly demanding a crypto ransom. There was also an alleged incident in Chicago in February 2025.

As "Dr. Anon" told Cointelegraph Magazine, these attacks are frequently "your money or your life" situations carried out by sophisticated, professional, and organized criminals. To limit potential losses, it is recommended to have a "decoy" crypto wallet with a small portion of funds.
