"Crypto-Fueled Fighting League Unveils Bonk Stadium in Miami"

Karate Combat, a crypto-fueled fighting league, has announced a partnership with Solana meme coin Bonk, which will see the latter's brand adorning a combat sports stadium in Miami. The stadium, named after the Bonk meme coin, will host half of the upcoming Karate Combat events, with two other fighting organizations expressing interest in using the venue.

The new facility, an expansion of the Goat Shed gym, will span 15,000 square feet and feature a Karate Combat Performance Institute for training and content creation, the Bonk Stadium, and increased space for Goat Shed fighters. The multi-year partnership will see Bonk's branding used throughout the facility, including the Karate Combat pit and MMA cage, and grant naming rights for the stadium. The Bonk team will also be able to host its own events at the facility.

The exact capacity of the arena is still being finalized, but the average attendance for a Karate Combat event is approximately 1,000 to 3,000 people. The facility is expected to open in a couple of months and host the first Karate Combat event in June. Karate Combat will not own the facility, but its president, Asim Zaidi, will be the majority owner. The combat sports league will run the performance institute and commit to holding events at the Bonk Stadium.

In addition to the partnership, Goat Shed is planning to set up a 24-hour livestream, watermarked with Bonk branding, to further boost the gym's virality. The livestream follows a shoutout on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and a recent visit from UFC star Alex Pereira. Karate Combat launched a Hedera layer-2 network in October to support its Up Only Gaming app, which allows users to bet tokens on upcoming fights. Top performers on the leaderboard will have the opportunity to receive special access to the new facility, while Bonk holders will also have access to host events and utilize workspaces.
