Crypto Exchange Bybit Hacked: $100M in ETH Laundered

Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has been the target of a significant hack, with the attacker moving a substantial amount of stolen Ethereum (ETH) in an attempt to launder the funds. According to recent updates, approximately 62,200 ETH has been laundered, while the hacker is preparing to dispose of an additional 499,000 ETH.

The hack, which occurred earlier this month, saw the attacker exploit a vulnerability in Bybit's system to steal a large amount of ETH. The stolen funds were then moved to various wallets controlled by the hacker, who began the process of laundering the ETH through a series of transactions designed to obscure the origin of the funds.

The exchange has also offered a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the hacker, as well as the recovery of the stolen ETH.
