Crypto concept stocks experienced significant gains overnight, with notable increases in options trading volumes and implied volatility. Among these, MicroStrategy (MSTR.US) saw a substantial overnight fall of nearly 8%, followed by a rebound of nearly 4% before the market opened. The company's options trading volume surged by over 0.2 million contracts, reaching 0.76 million contracts, with a call option volume ratio rising to 71%. Implied volatility has been on the rise for three consecutive days, currently at the 90th percentile of the annual range [1].Mara Holdings (MARA.US) and Coinbase (COIN.US) also saw a decrease in implied volatility, with call ratios dropping to 65% and 74% respectively. The strong performance continued after the earnings report, with options trading volume surging to 0.3 million contracts and the call ratio increasing to around 70% on Friday [1].
Rocket Lab (RKLB.US), dubbed as the "SpaceX competitor," saw a 28% increase in stock price following its earnings report. Options trading volume surged threefold compared to the previous month, reaching 0.4 million contracts, with a call ratio of 76.5%. The company's financial performance in the third quarter exceeded expectations, with revenue of $105 million USD, a 55% year-on-year increase, and a net loss of $51.939 million USD, better than expected. The company expects Q4 revenue to be between $125 million USD and $135 million USD, while analysts expect $122 million USD [1].
MicroStrategy (formerly Strategy) added 6,556 BTC to its holdings, totaling 538,200 BTC, with a 12.1% YTD yield, supporting Bitcoin’s $90,000 target.
