Cross Timbers Royalty Trust (NYSE:CRT) has announced a cash distribution of $0.031753 per unit for September, payable on October 15, 2025, to unitholders of record on September 30, 2025 CROSS TIMBERS ROYALTY TRUST DECLARES SEPTEMBER CASH DISTRIBUTION[1]. The trust reported increased underlying sales volumes, with oil sales rising to 14,000 Bbls from 10,000 Bbls and gas sales increasing to 111,000 Mcf from 49,000 Mcf. Average prices were $63.13 per Bbl for oil and $3.17 per Mcf for gas.

The trust's operational performance showed significant improvements, with oil volumes jumping 40% month-over-month and gas volumes more than doubling. Oil pricing showed a modest improvement of 1.7% to $63.13 per barrel, while gas prices declined by 12.4% to $3.17 per Mcf. Despite the lower gas price, the substantial volume increases resulted in a net positive impact.

However, the excess cost situation presents a mixed picture. Excess costs on Texas Working Interest properties increased by $129,000, with cumulative excess costs now totaling $5,128,000. Meanwhile, Oklahoma Working Interest properties recovered excess costs of $118,000. The high excess costs in Texas properties will continue to limit distribution potential until they are worked down.

The substantial volume increases despite ongoing excess cost challenges demonstrate the trust's underlying assets maintain productive capacity. However, the persistent high excess costs in Texas properties will continue to limit distribution potential until they are worked down.
