Coca-Cola has reportedly ditched its plan to sell Costa Coffee after talks stalled with private equity bidders. The soft drinks giant was seeking a £2billion sale, half of the original £3.9billion paid in 2018. Bids from TDR Capital and Bain Capital fell short of expectations, and Coca-Cola may now have to write down the value of Costa on its books.
