Clean Energy to Construct Hydrogen Station for Gold Coast Transit, Expanding Partnership

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has been awarded a contract to build a hydrogen fueling station for Gold Coast Transit District in Ventura County, California. The station will fuel five fuel cell buses, with plans to transition a fleet of 70 vehicles to zero emissions by 2040. The project is part of GCTD's vision to provide environmentally responsible public transportation. Clean Energy will also maintain the station for five years and currently provides renewable natural gas for GCTD's fleet of 61 buses.
