Nagomi Security, a leader in proactive defense and threat exposure management, recently launched a docuseries titled "CISO: The Worst Job I Ever Wanted." This series delves into the mental, emotional, and personal challenges faced by Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), providing an unfiltered look at the pressures and burnout associated with the role. The series features interviews with CISOs from prominent companies, highlighting the human cost of leading cybersecurity efforts.

The docuseries was inspired by a roundtable discussion at Black Hat 2024, where CISOs openly discussed the emotional impact of their roles. The project aims to raise awareness about the realities faced by CISOs and to advocate for better support and industry standards. Nagomi is collaborating with the Professional Association of CISOs (PAC) to push for liability protections and formal support structures for cybersecurity leaders, including advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.
