Cineverse has appointed three industry veterans to its Motion Pictures Group, focusing on enhancing theatrical, digital, and streaming capabilities. Steven Peros, Dan Fisher, and Cameron Moore join in key executive roles to bolster film development, acquisitions, and distribution. The hires aim to deliver IP-driven and award-winning films, targeting niche audiences across various platforms.

Cineverse, a leading entertainment studio listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker CNVS, has announced the addition of three industry veterans to its Motion Pictures Group. The appointments aim to enhance the studio's capabilities in theatrical, digital, and streaming content, as well as bolster its film development, acquisitions, and distribution efforts.

Steven Peros, Dan Fisher, and Cameron Moore have joined the team in key executive roles. Peros, who serves as Vice President of Creative Development and Filmmaker Relations, brings extensive experience from New Line Cinema and the William Morris Agency. He is responsible for leading development and overseeing physical production, acting as a key connector between the creative community and internal business stakeholders.

Dan Fisher, Vice President of Acquisitions, has over a decade of experience in acquisition, digital sales, and distribution. Prior to joining Cineverse, he held roles at VMI Worldwide, Freestyle Digital Media, Gravitas Ventures, and Entertainment One. Fisher will focus on acquisitions for Cineverse's direct-to-digital and OTT slate.

Cameron Moore, a Consultant for Theatrical Distribution, has a background in strategic planning and maximizing profitability. He previously served as Senior Director of Theatrical Distribution at Gravitas Ventures and has worked at various companies including 21st Century Fox, Screenvision Media, and Fathom Events. Moore will assist in identifying new film projects to acquire and strategically plan theatrical releases.

Yolanda Macias, Chief Motion Pictures Officer at Cineverse, commented on the appointments: "I'm thrilled to be adding these three talented executives, each with a unique set of skills and experience that will contribute to Cineverse successfully implementing our motion pictures strategy. As we build out our theatrical, digital and streaming slate, we are strongly positioned to identify fandoms to target with IP driven and award winning releases, and reach audiences in an authentic and efficient manner. Our mission is to deliver for fans, creators and partners."

The appointments come as Cineverse prepares for several upcoming releases, including franchise expansions of The Toxic Avenger, Silent Night, Deadly Night, Return to Silent Hill, and Wolf Creek: Legacy, as well as other titles such as Escape from the 21st Century, Lesbian Space Princess, and The Things You Kill.
