"Cigna Study Reveals Strong Sense of Purpose Boosts Vitality and Health"

New research from The Cigna Group finds that people with a strong sense of purpose experience higher vitality, better health, stronger relationships, and greater engagement at work. However, fewer than one in three American adults report having a strong sense of purpose. Those without purpose are 2-3x more likely to feel depressed, have lower vitality, and engage in unhealthy behaviors. Purpose is linked to greater autonomy, control over physical health, and stronger relationships.
