CIBC Appoints Co-Heads for Global Investment Banking Unit

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) has appointed Mike Freeborn and Alfred Traboulsi as co-heads of global corporate and investment banking. Freeborn will focus on the bank's Canada franchise, while Traboulsi will oversee the US platform. Eric Metivier will become executive vice-president and chief risk officer of corporate and private credit risk, and Kevin Li will run the bank's US business. Other changes include co-heads for global markets trading and new roles for Giorgia Anton and Brad Black.
