On May 30th, Eastern Time (Friday), the three major U.S. stock indices showed mixed movements. The S&P 500 index fell by 0.01% to 5911.69 points; the Dow Jones index rose by 0.13% to 42270.07 points; and the Nasdaq index fell by 0.32% to 19113.77 points.

Among popular Chinese concept stocks, Bilibili fell by 4.04%, XPeng Motors fell by 3.93%, NIO fell by 3.80%, Baidu fell by 2.95%, Alibaba fell by 2.88%, TSMC fell by 2.04%, Pinduoduo fell by 1.81%, JD.com fell by 1.61%, and NetEase fell by 1.49%.

Chinese concept stocks that have been rising include: Cheetah Mobile with a recent change of 0.99% over 7 consecutive days of increase, totaling a 13.26% rise during this period; Sowell with a 12.09% change over 5 days, totaling a 73.38% rise; Rongye Food with an 11.61% change over 5 days, totaling a 46.61% rise; Wangban Technology with a 3.32% change over 5 days, totaling a -1.16% change; Rokos with a 0.49% change over 5 days, totaling a 13.23% rise; and Woke Medical with a 3.10% change over 5 days, totaling a 30.17% rise.

Domestic AI Programming Tools Accelerate Updates
The competition in the AI programming field is becoming increasingly intense both domestically and internationally. Previously, there were reports that ByteDance would ban the use of third-party AI development software like Cursor and promote its self-developed Trae as an alternative, though ByteDance has not officially responded. On May 30th, a related person from Alibaba Cloud’s Tongyi Lingma, known as Shenxiu (nickname), stated that Alibaba Cloud is very open to AI programming tools, as long as data security and compliance are ensured, employees can freely choose their tools. Currently, the internal coverage rate of Tongyi Lingma is very high, with the proportion of AI-assisted code generation internally reaching nearly 40%, an increase of about 50% compared to six months ago.

Panasonic Appliances China Partners with Alibaba Cloud to Explore AI in Home Appliances
On May 30th, Panasonic Appliances (China) Co., Ltd. and Alibaba Cloud announced an official AI cooperation agreement. The two parties will focus on the intelligent home appliance sector, combining Panasonic’s expertise in home appliances with Alibaba Cloud’s global “cloud + AI” technological capabilities to jointly explore the creation of AI agents for the home appliance sector, cultivate AI application technical talents, and promote the globalization of the home appliance industry. Panasonic Appliances China will develop an AI platform based on Alibaba’s Tongyi Qianwen series of large models to comprehensively upgrade the intelligent functions of home appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, and other home space products. For example, with AI agents driven by large models, home appliances will have smart laundry, smart cooking, smart food management, and other functions, while upgrading the environmental perception capabilities on the appliance side to achieve “proactive service.” During this process, Alibaba Cloud will provide cloud computing infrastructure, large model products, and professional technical team support. Additionally, based on Panasonic’s “China for Global” strategy proposed in China, Panasonic also plans to explore smart home appliance IoT service cooperation with Alibaba Cloud in overseas markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

NIO World Model NWM First Version Officially Released
The first version of NIO World Model NWM has been officially released. The first batch of models to receive the update includes over 400,000 Banyan models. The Cedar models, including ET9, new ES6, new EC6, new ET5, and new ET5T, will begin receiving the update in late June.
