Chinese Concept Stocks | Tmall's 618 Sale Boosts Apple Sales, Bilibili Shares Surge

On May 16th (Friday), Eastern Time, the three major U.S. stock indices collectively closed higher. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.70% to 5958.38 points; the Dow Jones index increased by 0.78% to 42654.74 points; the Nasdaq index gained 0.52% to 19211.10 points.

On May 16th, the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index rose by 0.52%.

Regarding popular Chinese concept stocks, Bilibili rose by 6.71%, NIO increased by 2.63%, Baidu went up by 0.17%, XPeng Motors gained 0.15%, NetEase fell by 2.59%, JD.com dropped by 2.33%, Alibaba decreased by 0.34%, Pinduoduo fell by 0.20%, and TSMC slightly decreased by 0.03%.

During the consecutive rise of Chinese concept stocks, Tianyan Pharmaceutical increased by 1.99% for 7 consecutive days with a cumulative rise of 11.32%. Fogcore Technology rose by 0.52% for 6 days with a cumulative increase of 7.73%. Lotus Technology gained 4.63% for 6 days, amounting to a total rise of 22.83%. Gaotu rose by 2.89% for 6 days with a cumulative increase of 20.31%. Pingmin Xincheng increased by 11.50% for 6 days, totaling a rise of 21.15%. Four Seasons Education rose by 2.22% for 6 days with a cumulative increase of 8.95%.

Regarding the consecutive decline of Chinese concept stocks, Ascentage Pharma fell by 3.61% for 5 consecutive days with a cumulative decline of 10.35%. Jianzhi Education dropped by 3.44% for 5 days, accumulating a total decline of 35.74%. Fulong Group decreased by 3.36% for 4 days with a cumulative decline of 6.88%. Oriental Culture fell sharply by 17.07% for 4 days, amounting to a total decline of 24.44%. Cheche Technology slightly fell by 0.01% for 4 days with a cumulative decrease of 3.67%. Mogu Street dropped by 1.31% for 4 days with a cumulative decline of 6.22%. Xuniao Software fell by 0.90% for 4 days with a cumulative decrease of 27.15%. Zhongbei Energy fell sharply by 18.46% for 4 days, totaling a decline of 30.84%. China Natural Resources decreased by 2.33% for 4 days with a cumulative decline of 6.48%.

Tmall's 618 sales event saw Apple's sales surpass the entire day of last year's sales within 20 minutes.

Viomi Technology released the Kunlun 4 Mineral Water Purifier at the 2025 new product launch, aiming to bring the process of natural mineral water formation into homes through AI technology. With an investment of 1 billion yuan, Viomi has completed the construction of a digitalized water purification super factory with an annual production capacity of 5 million units for complete machines and 30 million units for filters.
