Chinese Concept Stocks | Nasdaq Golden Dragon Index Rises as JD, XPeng Drive Gains

On May 29th (Thursday), Eastern Time, U.S. stock markets saw all three major indices rise collectively. The S&P 500 Index increased by 0.40%, closing at 5912.17 points; the Dow Jones Index rose by 0.28%, closing at 42215.73 points; and the Nasdaq Index went up by 0.39%, closing at 19175.87 points.
On May 29th, the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index increased by 1.44%.
Regarding popular Chinese concept stocks, JD.com rose by 4.31%, XPeng Motors increased by 3.93%, Baidu went up by 1.44%, TSMC rose by 0.54%, Pinduoduo increased by 0.45%, Alibaba went up by 0.39%, NetEase rose by 0.33%, NIO increased by 0.14%, and Bilibili fell by 0.26%.
In terms of consistently rising Chinese concept stocks, Cheetah Mobile increased by 1.23% with a consecutive rise over six days, accumulating a 12.14% increase over the period. UCLOUDLINK rose by 2.90% over six days, accumulating a 35.70% increase. Sunlands Online Education Group saw a 47.00% rise over five days, with a cumulative increase of 120.96%. Austin Technology rose by 2.58% over five days, accumulating an 18.26% increase. Yum China increased by 2.97% over four days, accumulating a 5.29% increase. Full Truck Alliance Co. Li Auto's management stated in its first-quarter earnings call that after the launch of its new models, weekly sales have exceeded 10,000 units, and as of May, the market share in the above 200,000 yuan segment is 14.7%. Li Auto announced that for the quarter ending March 31, 2025, total revenue reached 25.9 billion RMB (3.6 billion USD), a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 41.4%. Quarterly deliveries were 92,864 units, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%. In the first quarter of 2025, vehicle sales revenue was 24.7 billion RMB (3.4 billion USD), a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 42.1%. Vehicle gross margin was 19.8%, a year-on-year increase of 0.5 percentage points, and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 0.1 percentage points. Net profit was 647 million RMB (89.1 million USD), a year-on-year increase of 9.4%, and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 81.7%. Non-GAAP net profit was 1.014 billion RMB (139.8 million USD), a year-on-year decrease of 20.5%, and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 74.9%. Diluted net earnings per ADS attributable to ordinary shareholders were 0.62 RMB (0.08 USD), a year-on-year increase of 10.7%, and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 81.3%.
