Chinese Concept Stocks | Alibaba Advances AI with Video Generation Model Update

Companies with continuous gains among Chinese concept stocks include GD Culture Group, which rose by 2.27% over six consecutive days, with an overall increase of 35.45%; Bright Scholar Education Holdings, up by 2.24% over six days with a total increase of 10.20%; Huadi International Group, which increased by 4.91% over six days with a total gain of 15.32%; NetEase, up by 1.07% over five days with an overall increase of 6.80%; Full Truck Alliance, rising by 0.78% over five days with a total increase of 18.39%; UP Fintech Holding, up by 0.87% over five days with a total increase of 26.93%; Yuchai International, which rose by 1.45% over five days with a total gain of 6.40%; Nabet, up by 2.75% over five days with a total increase of 39.39%; Tongcheng Tongmei, which increased by 1.33% over five days with a total gain of 18.01%; Lixiang Education, up by 9.88% over five days with a total increase of 58.82%; Origin Agritech, rising by 10.32% over five days with a total gain of 17.30%; Huafu Education, up by 1.36% over five days with a total increase of 3.63%.

Companies with continuous declines among Chinese concept stocks include Xunlei, which fell by 3.16% over six consecutive days with an overall decrease of 23.21%; Lobee, down by 2.31% over six days with a total decrease of 17.71%; Leyard Electronic, which decreased by 10.21% over five days with a total decline of 25.17%; Stellar Fashion, down by 2.28% over five days with a total decrease of 92.95%; Youjia Insurance, which fell by 23.18% over four days with a total decline of 26.92%.

Alibaba has upgraded its open-source video generation model to keep up with the rapid pace of AI upgrades, closely following U.S. and Chinese competitors. The company announced on Tuesday that its model, Tongyi Wanxiang Wan2.2-S2V, can produce movie-grade digital human videos with natural facial expressions and consistent lip-sync using just a static image and an audio clip.

Joyson Electronics' subsidiary, Ningbo Joyson Embodied Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd., has reached a comprehensive AI collaboration with Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. The two parties will develop intelligent robot entities with advanced cognitive, decision-making, and interaction levels based on a full range of Tongyi Qianwen models. These robots will be deployed in diverse scenarios such as industrial manufacturing, healthcare, and special operations. Additionally, they plan to offer overseas solutions for intelligent robots.

Beike announced that for the six months ending June 30, 2025, the net profit was RMB 2.162 billion. The total transaction volume during this period was RMB 17,224 billion, an increase of 17.3% from RMB 14,689 billion in the same period in 2024. Existing home transaction volumes totaled RMB 11,638 billion, up 13.7% from RMB 10,238 billion in 2024. On August 26th, it was reported that JD Discount Supermarket, the first large-scale discount supermarket format in China, will open four stores in Suqian, Jiangsu, on August 30th, following the opening of its first store in Zhuozhou, Hebei.
