The Jinta multi-energy complementary 100,000-kilowatt molten salt tower solar thermal power station is the largest tower-type solar thermal plant in China, generating 1.45 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually. Solar thermal power offers peak shaving and energy storage capabilities, and Gansu has an installed capacity of 620,000 kilowatts.
