China's Geely-owned automaker Lynk & Co has teased the upcoming launch of the 10 EM-P plug-in hybrid large sedan, which is expected to enter the Chinese market later this year. The 10 EM-P is a PHEV variant of the previous SEA-based Lynk & Co Z10 EV, which debuted around nine months ago [1].The 10 EM-P will be built on the GEA Evo modular architecture and will share its plug-in hybrid powertrain with the upcoming Geely Galaxy Starship 9 full-size SUV. The powertrain combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine with an electric drive unit featuring integrated motors [1].
One of the standout features of the 10 EM-P is the Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip, delivering 700 TOPS, and the Snapdragon 8295 processor, which will enhance the vehicle's performance and connectivity capabilities. Additionally, the car will come with a high-end air suspension system, providing a comfortable and responsive ride [1].
The exterior design of the 10 EM-P will closely resemble that of the all-electric Z10, which measures 197.9 inches (16.5 feet) in length, 77.4 inches in width, and 57.8 inches in height, with a wheelbase of 118.3 inches (9.9 feet) [1].
Lynk & Co has recently announced that the brand has surpassed 1 million vehicle deliveries, citing the recent launch of the 900 SUV. The company hinted at additional product reveals scheduled for the second half of the year, with the number '10' expected to be a key theme for Geely in 2025 [1].
The Lynk & Co 10 EM-P marks a significant step forward in the company's electrification efforts, following the launch of the Lynk & Co Z10 as its first fully electric vehicle (BEV) last year. Built on Geely’s SEA platform, the Z10 offers both 400V and 800V options, demonstrating the brand's commitment to advancing its electric vehicle offerings [1].
