China US Economic Talks Yield Framework Agreement

The Ministry of Commerce of China held a press conference on June 12 to discuss the outcomes of the first meeting under the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism. The meeting, which took place in London from June 9 to 10, involved economic and trade teams from both China and the U.S. The primary focus was to implement the key understandings reached during the June 5 call between the two heads of state and to solidify the outcomes of the Geneva economic and trade discussions.

Moving forward, both China and the U.S. have committed to utilizing the China-U.S. Economic and Trade Consultation Mechanism to maintain open communication and dialogue. This ongoing engagement aims to strengthen consensus, reduce misunderstandings, and enhance cooperation. The ultimate goal is to ensure the stable and far-reaching development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations, fostering a mutually beneficial partnership.
