Nathan Hoy, aka @nate_the_ls_guy, transformed a plain Chevy Sonic into a V8-powered muscle car, dubbed the SuperSonic, for just $5,000 in parts. He swapped out the original four-cylinder engine for a 5.3-liter LM7 V8, along with an unmodified Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Hoy had to make some modifications to the car's inner structure and installed a front-sump oil pan and Chevy Equinox springs to support the engine's increased load. The result is a show-and-tell build that rips sick burnouts and is a real head-turner. Future plans include trading the transmission for a Saginaw four-speed or GM T5 manual.
