The Chennai Metro Rail will commence tunnel boring work between Thirumayilai and Boat Club in June for its upcoming 118.9-km Phase II network. Two tunnel boring machines, Eagle and Flamingo, will be redeployed for the work. The project aims to create an underground network for the new phase.
