Chennai Metro Rail to Build Multi-Storey Facility at Guindy, Linking Metro and Suburban Stations

Chennai Metro Rail plans to construct a multi-storey building at Guindy, linking it with metro and suburban stations. The 3.48-acre land parcel opposite the Guindy Metro Rail station will house bus bays, retail outlets, and commercial spaces. Officials envision a facility similar to the upcoming Multi-Modal Facility Complex at Broadway, with a focus on intra-city and inter-city bus interchange, retail, and commercial spaces, as well as parking facilities. A consultant will be appointed to prepare a detailed report on the project.
