Chainlink JPMorgan Ondo Finance Achieve Cross Chain DvP Settlement

Chainlink, in partnership with JPMorgan’s Kinexys and Ondo Finance, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by successfully conducting a cross-chain Delivery versus Payment (DvP) settlement test. This trial showcased the seamless exchange of assets between a permissioned payment network and a public blockchain testnet, highlighting significant advancements in blockchain interoperability.

The test utilized Kinexys Digital Payments, a permissioned network operated by JPMorgan, and Ondo Chain’s testnet, which focuses on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Runtime Environment (CRE), an advanced off-chain computation layer, played a crucial role in facilitating the settlement process. This environment ensured secure and efficient cross-chain communication, demonstrating the potential for integrating different blockchain ecosystems.

The transaction involved Ondo’s tokenized U.S. Treasury fund, OUSG, which was exchanged through the Kinexys platform.
