CGI (NYSE: GIB, TSX: GIB.A) has been awarded a 10-year contract by the State of New Jersey to enhance its natural disaster recovery operations. The partnership will empower New Jersey with a scalable, state-owned recovery platform known as SIROMS (State Integrated Recovery Operations Management Systems). This platform will manage federal disaster relief funds and accelerate response to future emergencies.
The renewed contract builds on CGI's over a decade of partnership with New Jersey, originally established to support recovery from Superstorm Sandy. SIROMS has since evolved into the state's primary system for managing natural disaster recovery efforts, overseeing the distribution of over $7.2 billion in recovery funds. The platform has played a crucial role in helping New Jersey respond effectively to major disasters.
Under the renewed agreement, CGI will continue to support New Jersey's readiness to respond to current and future natural disasters. The platform will enhance operational efficiency, ensure financial traceability, and achieve comprehensive audit readiness. It has enabled the state to make faster data-driven decisions, accelerating recovery timelines and increasing transparency for residents and oversight officials.
As of May 2025, the state has disbursed over $7 billion in recovery funds, supporting thousands of residents. The SIROMS solution has enabled the state to track over 10,000 individual reports, successfully submitting quarterly progress to HUD over the past 48 quarters.
CGI's ongoing partnership with New Jersey reaffirms its commitment to helping governments enhance resilience and accelerate recovery from natural disasters. The platform is designed to incorporate enhancements from other jurisdictions and shares innovations developed in New Jersey, fostering a collaborative model for strengthening resilience and streamlining recovery.
