CGI Federal Inc. has successfully deployed the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System (iFAMS) to the Loan Guaranty Program and the first group of Veterans Health Administration users. This marks waves 7 and 8 of VA's extensive implementation of one of the largest financial and procurement systems within the federal government.

Built on CGI's Momentum® Enterprise Suite, iFAMS standardizes, streamlines, automates, and transforms VA's financial and acquisition processes. The system is designed to replace five existing VA systems across various technology platforms, enhancing service delivery, efficiency, transparency, audit readiness, and operational alignment. When fully implemented, iFAMS will significantly improve the VA's ability to serve veterans more effectively.

The deployment of iFAMS is part of a broader effort to modernize and optimize VA's business processes. The system has already processed over 11 million transactions and US$18 billion in Treasury disbursements, supporting US$39.9 billion in contracting dollars. This demonstrates the system's critical production status and broad impact.

CGI Federal serves as both the solution provider and implementation partner to VA. The company's Momentum solution is one of only two approved for the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Management Quality Service Management Office (FM QSMO) marketplace. This approval underscores the system's compliance with federal financial and acquisitions management law, executive orders, and relevant policies and procedures.

The successful deployment of iFAMS represents a significant milestone for CGI Federal. By leveraging AI and open-source technologies, CGI continues to advance Momentum, reducing the total cost of ownership while improving cyber posture and system performance. This agile approach allows VA to adapt quickly to changing environments and requirements.

For investors, this successful implementation strengthens CGI's positioning for future federal modernization contracts, providing ongoing maintenance and enhancement revenue. The government's selection of CGI for this highly visible project reinforces the company's technical credibility in mission-critical systems that handle billions in federal spending.
