Cerence Inc. has integrated its Audio AI suite into HARMAN's AudioworX, a development tool for automotive audio products. The collaboration brings together Cerence AI's expertise in automotive audio solutions and HARMAN's innovative audio framework. The integration offers enhanced audio experiences, including clearer phone calls and intercom conversations, as well as emergency vehicle detection for improved safety.

Cerence Inc. (NASDAQ: CRNC), a global leader in conversational AI-powered user experiences, has integrated its Audio AI suite into HARMAN's AudioworX. This strategic collaboration combines Cerence's automotive audio expertise with HARMAN's innovative audio framework, offering enhanced audio experiences for drivers and passengers.

The integration of Cerence's Audio AI suite into AudioworX introduces several advanced features. Cerence Speech Signal Enhancement (SSE) and In-Car Communication (ICC) technologies enable clearer and more optimized audio experiences. SSE filters out unwanted noise, creating speaking zones that enhance the clarity of phone calls and vehicle voice assistants. ICC acts as an intercom system within vehicles, simplifying and clarifying conversations between passengers and the driver, particularly useful in larger vehicles.

Additionally, Cerence Emergency Vehicle Detection (EVD) integrates with the automotive assistant to alert drivers about approaching police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks. EVD uses existing microphones to accurately and reliably recognize a broad array of emergency siren signals and their direction, helping drivers adapt their driving accordingly.
